this is willy. he’s a 12 years old and autistic. i’ve been baby sitting him since he was 2. he can’t stay home alone, for now at least. every day he gets made fun of. willy’s in 7th grade. at the end of the school year, each grade gets a formal dance. we were talking about it today, and i asked him who he was taking. he said, “no one. none of the pretty girls like me.” and i told him it wasn’t true, and that everyone loves him. he told me that i was the only girl that wasn’t in his family who didn’t laugh at him, and he asked me, a 15 year old freshman, to go to his formal with him. how could i say no? i love this boy like my brother.
